Agent Strife.
Its Shamus, you don't remember me because when we met you were dead and a mako shark was eating your left metatarsils. Which is slightly unusual since sharks not carrion...I won't digress.
A gang of gnomes, and I'm really sorry most gnomes aren't like this we're a peaceful loving folk whose history stre...I won't digress. They've got your magical robes.
I can try to convince them to use them if I find them. The gnomes to use the robes, not the robes to use the gnomes of course! If they do that, can your wizards be ready to trace it to the source and find us all at once and arrest them? The gnomes again, not the robes. They haven't broken any laws?
Or is it true that the robes are warded to prevent all scrying? Cause that would certainly put a kobold-club into the machine works!
Hero-Investigator:
Shamus Quidnunc
PS: I have a cloak that is yours still too!
PPS: Is anyone doing anything about Ianlockwood who tortured me after I tried to save you?
PPPS: That's kind of important. Maybe I should have asked that first.

Mister Quidnunc,
Find me at the tower to return the cloak you have as soon as possible so this matter can be cleared. You will not be prosecuted for the possession of this article if you comply in a timely manner.
I am aware these gnomes are in posession of my belongings. The robes are indeed warded to prevent scrying, however, further information cannot be given out to unauthorized persons regarding the functions of the Spellguard regalia. This issue is being taken care of.
Lastly, however you assisted in the aftermath of the event, you have my graditude. I have just recieved your report regarding Private Ian Lockwood. I must say that I find the event surprising, but I will look into the matter for you. If you wish to persue the matter, I recommend you also contact the city council.

Mister Quidnunc,
I have perused this matter as you have asked, and likely, to your dissatisfaction, I have little to say for you, I am afraid. There are verifiable accounts that the private's behavior was necessary and justified due to your own actions. Taking this matter to the council would likely turn out to be a colossal waste of time -- If you wish however, to speak to me again on the topic, find a time to come to the Spellguard Tower.

I can not understand how stabbing a prisoner in the back is ever justified. This decision was a mistake. A most devestating one.
The arrest was unjustifiable itself. Any action resulting from it was likewise.
If you have any regard for a gnome who risked his life so you could read this letter and exist today, I ask that you realize that if a arrest is unjustified and results in the torture of a citizen--then that citizen is allowed to defend himself by any means.
