Letter to the Watch

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to express my aggrrevation and anger over the unlawful arresting and jailing of a citizen. Last night, a priestess anmed Eowung answered a sending from a man named Strife. She went to help give information about an event that took place and was being helpful. After she realized she had wona token that was Strife's and had been taken from him, she with no apprehension gave it back. Upon his asking of any ohter items she told him willingly that she had a ring buit was under an oath of her word that it was given back on two vconditions. The foirst that the coin she gave for his ressurection be returned, and the second a promise to a mage that the ring not be returned to him until he, Strife, was ready. The mage was apparently teaching Strife the arcane ways and did not feel he was ready to have it back so entrusted its safety to Eowung, but Strife was not having it. He did not repect her or uphold her honor and jailed her for withholding spellguard property when in fact it was not the spellguards property, it was a spellgurard members personal property. She was arrested and jailed for this, and she did nothing against the laws of sanctuary, simply this man wanted his things back. I rushed over to the jail where I overheard Strife searching Eowung, and upon him seeming to cause he to drop the ring, took it. He only released Proestess Ste'dwa upon taking this ring, and would not have until he had gotten it. These are the actions of your lawful and outstanding officers, who seem to enforce the laws yet not hold themselves up to them. I think that an apology at the least and the funds be repaid to the Priestess, not to mention that if this mage does not wnat him to have the ring, it should be returned to the woman he entursted it with until he see's fit for Strife to have it. I am asking that something be done about this and that this man is spoken to about his unjust and unlawful actions.

Priestess Sera

The letter is recieved, and after some effort, deciphered. After a while in which Sally spends trying to work out what is going on, she pens back a short note.

Miss.

As much as this is a rather awkward situation, it appears to me that both and neither party were particularly wrong in their actions. I believe that a good deal of Agent Strife's various equipment has been lost or reaquired and probably is in some of his interests to actually find it again.

Since I do not really know Eowung in this case, I can not particulary comment as to what level of trustworthyness she has reguarding the ring and as to whether it would ever be returned to strife. I also understand that Strife may not have a great deal of money to buy back his belongings with. If she had considered the idea of credit, perhaps this would have turned out differently.

I currently do not wish to allocate resources to sorting out such a small feud which, in one way or another has sorted itself out. The ring is strifes and therefore he can keep it because he now has it. Perhaps you should ask him to apologise and be less sharp yourself.
