Fellow Servant of the Black Hand,

I thank you for the information you passed along this afternoon concerning the state of affairs on the surface and the danger posed by the imposter demon. We will be wary and vigilant in case you were followed. We also stand ready to aid you in whatever way we can with your upcoming preparations. As we recruit, we will recommend potential members to you and your cause, particularly those who are less inclined to restraining themselves and operating in the shadows. As I briefly mentioned, we have different views on how to accomplish our end-goals, but we will both be in positions to aid each other from time to time.

In reiteration of our discussion, we currently have no plans to target the Sanctuary Council or attempt a takeover of any government agency. The failed efforts of our brethren a few months ago were ill advised and unfortunate. The Council has seen fit to leave us to our religious beliefs, and their tolerance is a state of affairs we would not want to see changed. Open urban warfare and assassinations would be costly for both sides. There are individuals and organizations we do reserve the right to target though. Our Great Lord and his Son demand it, anything else would be sacrilege.

I am a fool. My faith in my superiors before Bane and my eagerness to follow orders has led me to heresy. All I have said to you, is untrue. Praised be, The Holy Father lives and there is no demon not even Iyachtu Xvim who is dead. The Holy Father himself came to me in a vision this very day and I am utterly without doubt that all I have said was in error. I have been instructed to return to the Keep for punishment.

My plan changes little, to return to the surface on the point of a sword then to the Keep.

Never again write to me any word which suggests a crime against the city, let alone of murder. I would advise that you refrain from some correspondence with others as well.

Then go to your doom. You are a heretic if you truly recant what you have said to us today. I was correct in my skepticism, as was our priestess. Moreover, you are a fool. I hope to be at the keep when you receive your just reward.

I suggest you read the previous letter I sent you again as there were no insinuations of a move against the city. To the contrary, it was very explicit in laying forth our position of non-aggression.

You are no in no position to give advice, so do not give any now. Perhaps if you redeem yourself, but not now.
