Members of the Watch,

As you may have learned, Clan Stoutheart would like to have a holy ceremony of the highest sort just outside the city gates. We are attemting to bring back two of our Clansman that fell valiantly defending the City from Breen's spider invasion.

We would like permission for this gathering, and also would like to know if the Watch can provide security for the March from the Mausoleum to the West Gate and just beyond.

If it is necessary, we will hire watchman to provide the service, but we were hoping that the nature of their noble sacrifice might generate a desire of the Watch to provide this security - as a gesture of respect - for their courage and service to the citizens of Sanctuary.

This ceremony will take place on // Sunday, July 16 at GMT+2 (10 pm EST)

We eagerly await your response to our formal request. I expect a large turnout, so it may be necessary for several officers to attend as some followers of chaos or darkness may see this as an opportunity to trouble us in this sacred ritual.

If you can bring the two back without casting a spell, by all means, you're welcome to go ahead with the ceremony. If not however, I suggest you think again about casting powerful magics close to the city. If you do, there'll be bigger problems than followers of chaos or darkness, because it's my understanding drow and illithid are drawn to just the sort of thing you suggest.

Consider changing your plans, and write back, and we may see about devoting some men to the ceremony.

We will be performing the ritual at the Grumbarite Hold. Any assistance or extra security would be much appreciated.

We will be having a procession at // 10 pm EST, (GMT +2) // The ritual should be shortly after, then we shall present our heroes to their friends at the Arena.
