Playable buildings?

While I'm on the topic of shops, is there anyway after the new crafting system is in, that some of the unmarked doors, could be bought out as player shops? Requiring taxes etc. I can think of a few ways to do it, just sounds like it'd be a WHOLE lotta fun. Why support the duergar's when Geej the gnome gives you a discount at his or her store because you're in his or her inner circle. :D

The topic of rentable buildings has been discussed time and time again. Using them as player houses, simply put, really has no place on the server. Player shops are almost impossible as well. EfU is not a crafting server, so there would be no way to realisticly maintain a running shop, and it would mostly bloat and fluff the module, and not really add anything to it.

In the realistic side of it, the economy of it would be pretty silly too. Price wars would begin and merchants would have to move out if they could not maintain an acceptable profit margin.

Buildings can be aquired, but it isn't just a matter of paying rent.

1) It is unlikely an individual will ever get one. It's not worth having an area in the mod for one person.

2) It's very expensive. We are talking 10's of thousands of gold to start thinking about it.

3) You have to show that you've earned it. Buildings are more a reward for good stories than a reward for spamming quests to collect money.
