Support for evil and child characters, children would be harder, but its virtually impossible to play anything but a lawful evil who keeps it under wraps and then whats the point? Everyone in sanctuary is all good or neutral, and thats what everything applies to, so theres ONE mission thats bad, the one to get to sewertown, thats quite literally nothing compared to the quests that save people and the like.

There are more, I suggest you look for them.
As for evil, there are plenty of ways to do it. You're likely to lose in the end with a chaotic evil character, but you can still have lots of fun while you're rampaging around. And yes, if you try to take on Sanctuary alone, you'll go down fast.
I think not. Plenty of ways? Name one, I havn't seen one, lawful evil, cant get groups, and, if you're ic, wouldn't bother to save people, or something, etc. neutral evil? Maybe, thats what a hin theif would be. Chaotic evil? No, complete, no. There is utterly no way to roleplay this in sanctuary.
One second thought, why not have a competing evil town? That repeatedly tried to conquer sanctuary.
A neutral evil character would rescue someone, if the pay was right. Besides, theres a lot of evil in Sanctuary, you just have to look for it :)
And furthermore, are you calling the tigereyes a force of good in Sanctuary...
There really are Alot of evil characters, and evil villains around even if they don't look like it. You don't have to hang around murdering people to be evil, and somesuch. There can be evil councillors, evil watchmen (have been), just, general villains. There is more than enough space to be evil. Seriously.
You should drop into irc and discuss this with some of us if you're short of ideas.
There have been plenty of successful Chaotic -> Lawful Evil PC's in Sanctuary. It's entirely possible to do, Smoogles. It's important to remember that not all Chaotic Evil people are sociopathic murderers who rampage around the streets slicing off faces and eating the flesh of their victims. . .etc. Anyhow, if you find it difficult to play an evil character in Sanctuary, perhaps you should try something else to get acclimated to the environment.
Not to brag, but for the record:
I played a chaotic evil character for nine months here.
The DMs said it was easily one of the most entertaining, best played, and most successful characters on the entire server through the entire time the character was played.
Its very hard to play chaotic evil and survive, but hardly impossible. It requires intelligence, dedication, and a little thought is all.
1) We don't want child characters. They would require an app to get, and the server isn't friendly to them. If one gets approved, it will basically be unable to advace beyond level 1 or 2. Children make very little sense as adventurers, and shouldn't be questing, so they don't have much to offer the server.
2) We have A LOT of support for evil characters. We have a number of quests that don't allow good. We have none that don't allow evil (although we have one that should change there.) There are a ton of openly evil characters, and I'd say the majority of PC's that have been in any positions of power have been evil. The server has been very friendly to evil from the start. Most quests are about making money, and you can come up with reasons to do almost any of them.
Smoogles I think not. Plenty of ways? Name one.
We have a quest where you are hired to steal bodies for a necromancer. If that isn't evil, I don't know what is. There is one.
*Batman theme, and then suddenly gasp appears in white letters in a jagged orange bubble*
having recently been playing with detect evil alot.... I can say for certain: there are ALOT of evil characters playing at the moment. Its almost impossible to avoid them.
I would think for most of them to be extremely evil however, they would need to get 1) out of town alot, 2) band up with those of similar mindset and 3) do it secretly! So maybe you're just not talking to the right people...
Until recently I was playing a very Evil character that everyone liked and respected and even had a couple of paladins convinced she could be redeemed.
Have a look in the Journals for Shauna Trevails Journals and you will see how an Evil character can be played without resorting to the cookie cutter cartoon character evil villain.
And the DM's also organise special quests for evil Characetrs - Shauna was involved in one to stop a group of Paladins from destroying the home of a greater Mummy and its undead compatriots - the Paladins wouldn't listen and leave peacefully so we waded through and slaughtered them - very different to have a cleric casting Inflict spells to cure the undead minions to go in and fight for you
If people observed before opening their mouths then there could very well be less silly posts.
I haven't played EfU for a while but I still know for a fact that EfU easily favors evil characters, hands down.
Not to brag:
I played a LG Paladin for several months and I'll say right now it was probably one of the hardest characters to make successful simply because there was so much more evil than good in the campaign.
The support for evil in EfU is thicker than the heat generated by two rats screwing in a wool sock.
This thread is absurd.
