I'm pretty sure that's what he means, since I was in the party that destroyed them yesterday. Someone actually did comment on it, but those responsible had long since gone on to the next alter by then.

I think it's great to see that some characters insist on destroying the alters, but they should probably be made indestructible - at least for now, until a better solution is found - since a very large part of that quest is the reward from the alters.
