A letter for Tarnis left at the rock bottom

*Linda leaves a letter for Tarnis at the rock bottom inn*

Greetings fare Tarnis,

I wanted to write you to know how the organization of the festival is going? I hope that all is going well and that the town will be able to have a marry day of festive proportions soon. I also wanted to write you to wonder if there is anything at all that I could do to help this thing get off the ground. I am very interested in making this a success. Write me back at the pissing crone if there is anything I can do. Best Wishes, Linda Kelssa, cleric of Tyr

*letter left in response*

Thank you for your interest. My largest obstacle is getting the word out about when it is. Right now it will be about a week and a half from now. //next thursday the 20th of July//. And that we need all the artisans we can find.

But just getting the word out is helpful enough. The location is in the Town Hall in a large room upstairs near the offices of the councilors. Councilor Geigne was nice enough to donate that room since he said it was never used and he would like to see it get used.

If you have more ideas, or would like to help my post posters and flyers around town that would be great!

I would love to do that for you Tarnis. I will get the word out in every way I can and I would be more then happy to post posters and flyers for you. I actully did have some suggestions. I was thinking that perhaps you might also include some sort of games to be played at the festival. People do love games around this town as I hear it. I was also thinking that perhaps there might be some musicians that would play slow ball room dance songs as well as fast ones to get the blood and body moving though I suppose you might have already thought of that. Let us meet sometime in town to put up the flyers and posters together and get the word out so this can be a joyous occassion for the town!- Linda Kelssa, Cleric of Tyr

I do think that games would be fun. Perhaps even bringing the Dragon game from the gambling hall would be a nice addition.

Did you have some specific games in mind?

Please let me know the next time I see you.

Dearest Tarnis,

Seeing it as you are the one organizing the ball I think you would be the best judge as to what types of games the event should have. I however will give a few suggestions as to games. One can never go wrong with simple shooting games such as archery, axe throwing, and crossbow shooting. Another thought I had was a singing competition in which the patrons are invited to come up and sing for the crowd and the crowd can pick which of the singers was their favorite. I'm sure the folk would love gambling games though I must admit as a cleric of Tyr I'm weary about such games as they sometimes bring about unsavory folk but this is about a night of fun for ALL of the town and if it should bring them happieness to have that type of game it is not my place to say that it should not be present. I would like to meet with you in person as soon as I can as I have recently come into possession of an item I would like to donate to the event. I think perhaps it should be given to the professional bard that the folk of the town liked the best during the eve. It is a healing wand that can be used by professional bards that cures very serious wounds (Occ: Cure serious wounds with 5 charges). Hopefully I shall see you soon so I can give it to you for the event. Until our next meeting fare thee well Tarnis and may Tyr watch over you well. - Linda Kelssa, Cleric of Tyr
