So yeah, all the miners are wielding axes. Seems a bit off, but maybe mining with a hammer isn't hardcore enough for a duergar? Or maybe that's the reason they all just stand there...

Anyways, is this just sheer coincidence or is there an actual IC reason for them making mining unnecessarily complicated? I'm guessing a hammer would be an overall better tool for what they're (supposed to be) doing, no?.

The axes are as close to mining pickaxess as can be represented in the engine. Just pretend they're mining picks. 'Cause that's what they are.

Oh, they use pickaxes, right. I thought they just, you know, whacked away at the rocks.
