All right, my current character isn't likely to start fights with anyone, but I thought this was worth asking. Should there be any special precautions taken now that we can't see a character's level range? For instance, should we ask them OOC, or just make sure the decision to PVP someone is taken less lightly than before? Also, how much more provocation does someone need to attack level 2 or 3 characters compared to higher level characters?
Thanks.

We've actually seen griefing of low levels go down since hiding levels. People don't know who to pick on.
The big key is don't kill anyone without a reason. Do you really need ot kill them? Is there another way out? Is this worth going on trial and losing my character for?
If you aren't going out of your way to kill random people, then you shouldn't have a problem.

Deliberately picking on level 2s running down from Nurtle is not tolerated. If the DMs think that the player is deliberately initiating PvP on really low level people as a form of griefing, we may invoke this rule as a rationale for OOC punishment and/or banning. However, that has yet to be an issue actually. As Thrawn said, so long as you're responsible with PvP in the first place you are most likely perfectly fine.
