When a corpse vanishes upon respawning, it seems that weapons and armor still equipped on the corpse also vanish. Or they did with us, anyway.

Weapons and armor should be dropped into the closest bag for that character. Could you please provide more specifics, if this didn't happen?

Well, I wasn't actually present for it, but the folks that brought my stuff back to me told me that my armor and weapon could not be retrieved, and didn't seem to have found it. They also told me out of character that they didn't know what had happened to it. Maybe Sidekick or Cullen could elaborate on what happened? They were both there, and the ones carrying our gear.

Victim dies horrible death in battle. Said victim's body is picked up by survivors, as well as all of victim's gear from the dropped pack. The victim's body is never stripped. While in transit, victim respawns, and survivor looses the body in their inventory along with anything that was on it. Items from victim's body are not dropped in survivor's inventory.
