I would like to believe that when a player falls in PvP, but is not killed, simply out of courtesy of the attacker, the player would not instantly heal and resume combat of ignore how an event is being played out, simply to benefit their character in some manner or another, you would like to think they would remain on the floor and let things play out, but we know this is not always true. I would like to suggest a PvP setting that does one of two things, either keeps players down for extended periods of time, or gives large stat penalties (like suggested in my post on respawns). I would prefer this mode not have to be used but I think it would be a nice option for considerate players who are concerned about less considerate opponents.
PvP "Stay down!" mode.
Have you checked to see if our subdual system already does this? :)
The duration on knocked out seemed to be not much.
Personally, I'd say that's a sign that you need to be more thorough in your beating. However-- extending the duration of "knocked out" is on the list of things to do.
This would be greatly appreciated. Especialy when you want to rp a beating / lesson / ritual without actually killing anyone. -dholt5

Well, subdual mode is already in, and if you beat a single person enough (to "Blacked out" or "Concussion"), they should stay down for quite a while.
They don't stay down THAT long actually.. not long enough to be able to say something important or so.. I was blackened, was back on my feet in less than 2 minutes I think.
