Tha male elf was captured and trialed. He were found not guilty, due to confliction on many accounts. But there is a twist. If either the female elf is brought in and she confesses that he was part of it, he will get a punishment. Also, and most importantly, if you can provide testimony to Councilor Geigne that the elf tried was the one that done you wrong, he will be punished. Make sure you write or speak with Councilor Giegne about this incident.

Mercenary Onyxadze,
I am most distressed this trial occured so speedily without me being given an opportunity to testify. I clearly saw the male elf's face, have his name, saw him loot our packs for our gold, and have a vicious scar from a fatal puncture wound on my otherwise unmarred back that should match his oddly constructed double bladed weapon quite nicely.
Is this standard procedure to try a defendant when several people witnessed the crime, but rush the proceedings so that it is impossible for them to speak on their own behalf?
It is quite troubling to me that this is how it was handled, and I question the efficiency of such a system. Rest assured that had this taken place in an actual city such as Waterdeep, the prosecution of such predators would have been done carefully and thoroughly. Soon after, they would have been hanging from the gallows as they deserved.
In fact, I would like to file an official protest that I was not asked to participate in the proceedings. Any further obstruction of the appropriate justice for these assassins will be met by my request that the process and procedures of this be reviewed by the Council, and a thorough investigation mounted intended to explore how this trial occured without the crucial testimony of a key witness and victim of this foul deed.

Aric,
We cant hold prisoners indefinetly. He was captured and we had to do what we could with what we had available. If you failed to note, you coming forth with your information to Councilor Geigne will still get the elf behind bars. I would suggest that you not waste your ink on protest and find or write the councilor.
