Letter to the Tigereye Mercenaries

This letter has been sealed with wax, the imprint of what is perhaps a large screw firmly pressed down into the wax

Dear Honorable and Most Gracious Sirs,

Greetings!

As a relative newcomer to Sanctuary, I was fortunate enough to receive a very detailed tour by Grimwarden Robin Widirbrook, which concluded with a visit to your very own Fortress in Lower Sanctuary. Although the door was locked, she informed me with all gravity that you did at one time employ one Engineer Runt, a halfling, who had made remarkable progress in matters of invention and discovery. As an engineer myself, I would very much wish to review any records or devices he may have left behind. Additionally, I would very much like to meet any friends, family, comrades, or associates of Engineer Runt. Finally, as I was advised that his laboratory is presently used simply as storage, I would offer my services as his replacement in the interest of continuing his work.

Should this proposal interest you, please write back with all speed.

I remain at your service, and in the service of Gond,

Jory Mendlegnack

Jory Mendlegnack,

It is pleasing to hear that one may look to pick up where Runt left off. He was a decent lad that knew his way around the workshop. His main motivation for us was to create things that would aid in keeping Lower Sanctuary safe. Sadly most did not see an end. I would gladly meet with you to discuss your future in our ranks.
