Dear Honorable and Most Gracious Sirs,
Greetings!
Having recently escaped from slavery and stumbled upon Sanctuary in all its twilight glory, I was twice delighted to discover your very fine tower protected by a very fine animatron. As a group of (as I understand) humans, I perfectly understand that the intricacies of designing and successfully maintaining the the animatrons designed by my deeper-born cousins may be for you a task of considerable difficulty. I have been reliably informed that your Order struggles to maintain these constructs in full working order, and it is in the interests of Sanctuary's greater safety that I write this letter.
I am something of an engineer, blessed by the Bringer of Wonders Gond in matters of innovation and invention, and a capable designer of all things mechanical and magical. I should very much wish to be granted access to your laboratories and machine rooms, to be allowed to review your texts and schematics, and to learn what is already available about the design of the animatrons of Dunwarren. In exchange, I would gladly assist you with whatever I may be able to deduce or with time construct.
Fondly yours, with great enthusiasm,
Jory Mendlegnack
