PC Raise Dead?

I was wondering how exactly the chances of raising the dead are calculated. As I understand it, alignment of the dead PC and level of the PC cleric attempting to raise said dead PC affect this. Is there an exact formula?

Also, do IC things ever affects the chances of a successful Raise Dead? For example, if my priest of Garagos wanted to raise a warrior who he knows is sworn to Garagos, fought to the death without retreat as Garagos teaches, and personally knew as a friend and brother ICly, would the success rate be heightened? Does it depend on the character performing the raise, or their recipent's standing with the cleric's god, or a mix of both?

And yes, I know IC events don't change the chances mechanically, but what if a tell was sent to the DMs giving them a breif of the IC events and situation?

Cheers.

In EfU, the chances of a cleric raising the dead is entirely dependent upon a DM modified score that the character has with their deity. As a character does things to promote the deity's dogma and earn their trust, this score will improve -- increasing the likelihood of a successful raise.

Frivolous raises or raising enemies of the faith is a very rapid way to decrease this score. Doing a really good job for your deity is a good way to increase this score.

Unless this score is 0% or 100%, there is a random element -- deities are, I suppose, fairly whimsical and the process of raising the dead is difficult.

Alright great. Thats cleared it up for me entirely.

Cheers.
