Multiplying oozes

The small green ones that split appart. Each one of these has like +10 ab and deals alot of damage. I reccomend they are toned down somewhat or perhaps increase the rewards they offer?

Are these the ones that have truesight as well? I agree that slimes are surprisingly brutal in EfU.

True sight? I have not seen a single ooze with true sight yet. I have passed mustards, ochres and normal big oozes and all kind, but no one has spotted me yet.

They've a nasty AoE damage field thingy, though... Not the funnest thing to pass through when you're sneaking.

Sounds like you stepped in one!

(I think we may have disabled that for some of them recently -- not sure though)

First one I saw almost killed me with an AOO while I was casting invisible. So true sight. More likely then see invisibility.

Scary?

They might just have "spotted" you (heard, felt, or similar), and thus gotten the AoO. Did it say anything about 50% concealment in the combat log? Invisible creatures always turn "visible" (heard, felt, whatever) when you stand next to them, and since AoO's are close-range attacks, that might have been what happened. I'm not positive that that is how it went, though, as I'm not 100% sure that AoO's are dealt against an only partially detected enemy.

And yes, Arkov, yes I did. Right next to a warband of 14 elite gnolls. Who then chased me straight into the arms of a Gargantuan Umberhulk Behemoth. Which had me go invisible and run all the way back past the gnoll, the ooze, and another band of gnolls while trying to shake it off (now there's something with True Seeing, alright). All in all, it was quite an interesting turn of events. ;)

It's truesight, trust me. Those oozes that have it spot Dal as soon as he enters their line of sight.

Not saying it's a bad thing for them to have -- I mean, they don't have any eyes or ears, do they? -- but coupled with their combat awesomeness, they're kinda nasty for slimes.

Some versions of oozes have true sight.

Oozes rock.

The oozes in question suck. I can remember doing a ogre mission where those oozes poured out of the water. Most of the party was almost ruined before we even started. Luckly the DM was kind enough to drop a barrel of goodies for us.

the ooze quest is one of my faves though it used to lag a lot in the first few versions of it. And spotting them IC in that green soup is hard. Was so tempted to 'tab' it to see what the hell was down there.

Speaking of the ooze quest, Who else panicked the first time there, when they walked down the hallway. If you've done it you know what Im talking about!

" Ryft: wha.... Kaddaz: ....... ????: oh shit! "

hmm similar reaction with another group/ quest recently....
