a thin vile of fluid is drowned down inside the dwarfs throat
Dr. Breen, I write this update for you while in a state of extreme joy and sheer happiness. The Baby is doing fine; better than fine. The Baby is growing at an almost alarming rate due to the enriched nutrition myself and the others have been feeding it. The Baby's diet has surpassed I think even your expectations in nutrition. Please, allow me to elaborate.
The Baby now has an appetite for warm, fresh food. It no longer desires what you or myself place in front of it; mainly past due food such as the cut side of rothe. My first thought was to gut the side of a rothe-which i did-while it lived, and bled. As the animal stood in utter fear and extreme fright before The Baby, I slashed it open. I ripped the beasts heart from its chest as it bleated at me, pleading for its life. The Baby seemed to salivate if spiders are capable of such a thing. The rothe fell to the ground gasping for breath even though a gaping hole wound was at its breast where its beating heart was only moments ago. The Baby devoured it. I was pleased with my Niece.
I must confess, The Baby has grown not only in size but also in its thirst for flesh. One word; biped. The Baby CRAVES Dr. Breen the flesh of a living biped. Now I've fed it kobold, orc, goblin, half-orc, dwarf, and human. It does not prefer one over the other yet all at once-if that makes any kind of sense. An example.
Mr. Potter and I-whom I might add is vital, no critical in The Babys survival-took fresh meat to The Baby-alive and kicking. The half-orc was fresh and slain only moments before we fed him to The Baby. Delightfull chitters and clangs came from the spider almost as if it were having an orgasm. I'll admit it is a little disturbing yet all that is nature is not "pretty" and "wonderfull" as many so blindly believe. The natural world itself is filled with violence and defeat. Such are the way of things. In a rare instance, The Baby seemed to reach out and embrace myself as well as Mr. Potter. Can arachnids form bonds? Are they capable of love? I would dispute the opposite because I witnessed it myself. Yes. Yes they are. Nevertheless.....
