Iv made a char as a ranger and palyed and stuff so at my 1st lvl up (lvl 3) i decided to multiclass to cleric, i chose the Animal and Healing domains but my diety was Shar (note alin was also chotic good) :( . so i couldnt cast spells :shock: i asked around the town and everyone said " Ask a DM and theyll do it for you " so iv spent the last few days trying to contact a DM (i even sen 1 an e-mail) but no luck, so im asking, why cant the DMs just make it so if you go to a temple in sancuary you can change your alin/diety there :?:

Shar does not allow Animal or Healing domains. You will not be allowed to use abilities associated with the Cleric class without a proper alignment or domains (of which you have neither. Shar sounds entirely unsuitable for your CG ranger with Animal and Healing).

Contact a DM in game to change your deity, though you ought to have good reason to do so and take in game measures to demonstrate your shift of faith.

In your case, however, I think it's just a matter of sheer confusion and you had better remake your Ranger of Shar with proper domains and evil alignment from the ground up.

but still we should be able to change dietys without DMs i mean, with all the different timezones and stuff they cant be online 24-7 an im in EST so common playing times for them is probly 2:00am for me and i am not a robot!!! harlstar need sleep lol

A system by which your deity is changed without a DM serves little purpose, I think.

If you're not a divine orientated class it is totally inconsequential.

If you are a divine class, a change of deity will likely mean you have to recreate your character to have the specific alignment or domains to suit.

If you really think this is a very good idea still, post in the suggestions forum.
