Official Sealed Correspondence, Watch House/Spellguard Tower

The letter bears the Tigereye Sigil over the wax seal. Despite the apparent care taken with its production, when looked over properly the whole thing seems helter-skelter and crude,

The recent loss of our Commander Zerelde, having been committed outside of our jurisdiction, with the killer caught and delivered to justice, has received very little formal attention and investigation from our company. We would like to receive the records on this case that yourselves may posess post-haste, so that we could update our own.

With nothing further,

- Mercenary Nogüeyra

PS: It is kindly requested that the reply be sent to my care.

Dear Private Rayas,

With grief I send you this letter. Zerelde, Berennock and Councilor Dreagle were slain by Kodax, and an Elf who’s name I don’t know. When my Invisibility spell faded, the Half Orc took me aside, telling me not to "rat" him out, as he was going to attempt to take out Dreagle. I agreed, knowing I'd attack him with a minor selection of spells. I stepped aside, telling him 'not' to do it, telling him he'd be stoned for doing so. He ignored me fully, and started consuming magical potions. I was already preparing an "Isaacs Missile Storm" when I noticed he drank a potion of Shielding. I became useless. Berennock knocked him over by use of a magical device, and started hitting him. However, he was no match for the large Orc, and quickly hit the ground. I made Berennock Invisible to stop the Orc from further harming him. The Orc changed targets, now rushing towards Councillor Dreagle, who was slowed down by carrying a body identified as Zerelde. The Orc's friend jumped in, an Elf, using some web spell. I got entangled, and quickly used a Stoneskin spell on myself. The Orc was held, the Elf now started shooting the Councillor. Dreagle struggled out of the web, and healed himself, using an Ooze Ioun stone later. I casted a Haste spell on Dreagle, to increase his chance to dodge a blow, and increase his speed - only slightly, as he was still carrying Zerelde. Berennock recovered and started attacking the Orc again. In the end he fell, close to the hidden path towards our sanctuary. They took his gold, and ran off after I tossed them some curse. They ran - or walk, rather, away from Sanctuary. I quickly took his belongings, too scared to follow them, and brought them to you.

The Orc was known to most as Kodax - The Elf/Drow - I'm uncertain. His armor was black/yellow, and he was using a blue bow and a Greataxe.

Zerelde and the councillor killed a man in cold blood, claiming he was a Wererat. To this the Half Orc responded with violence. Is justice done? I can’t say. An arm for an arm? Both sides were wrong, though I’m leaning towards Dreagle’s side, as he’s a councillor, and hopefully knew what he was doing, when he killed the Wererat.

Yours sincerely, Dicho Kleneset.

I have seen this half-orc once and he seemly prefers to use greatsword. Keep your eyes open and bring them in if seen.

Alturiak 26th, Year 151

At this day of Alturiak 26th, murderer Kodax was captured in the Rock Bottom by me and the Agent Wrinkle. A trial was called right away, and Councilor Dreagles armour was found in the posession of the accused, and testimony of seeing him and accuseds accomplish elf with it were more than enough to find him guilty. He was questioned and we were unable to get anything out from him, concerning the bodies of Tigereye Zerelde, Councillor Dreagle and neither any information of his associate elf.

By degree of Councilor Bhast he was executed by stowning and his belongins were delivered to the Councilor for re-selling.

Unfortunately we did not get anything off the half-orc, and we do not know his associates name or their description. For what I have gathered, the accomplish weared a black and possibly yellow suit of leather and great axe.
