Sealed letter for Mayna - Rock Bottom.

Mayna.

I heard today that you are back, congratulations on that. Apparently I was not thorough enough in beheading you, feeding your torso and limbs to beetles, and your head to goblins.

I write you this letter though, not to threaten you, at least not yet. Your slate with me is now clean. Keeping it that way, is up to you.

Today, your love - the peck; Tarnis took it upon himself to approach me, declare his love for you, and begin some words of threat.

Here is my final word on this matter.

If yourself, Tarnis, Coronado, Garfield or Nermal, or anyone else in your little circle of friends is even so much as heard to utter my name ever again, by me or one of my agents. You all die. I will feed you all to the worst horror the Underdark can offer. In doing so, I will end the nuisance of this situation for all time.

Talk to them, convince them of the sense offerred in this letter, and if you, and they agree, scribe a red "X" upon the door of the Rock Bottom.

Remember well what I have said here. It is my written oath that it will be done if an "X" does not soon adorn the door of the Inn.

The note is unsigned.

Meriam receives the note from Spencer, and frowns as she reads it once. At one point she chokes and rips out the first four lines of the letter, throwing them away looking sick. She then makes a copy of the rest and forwards it Coronado at the Spellguard tower.

Coronado receives the torn letter from Officer Barkeley, looks puzzled and finally sends a response back to Meriam at the Rock Bottom.

Tell this person I want a proposal put to writing. First of all this person presumes we know who he or she is. Am I one to cave in to the demands of nameless cowards? No. Tell him or her to leave a name and we negotiate from there.

On another note, if it is Zau, I suggest you get acquainted with the place I showed you earlier. He will never find you there, and you might find it a quiet place to get some work done, such as a task I had in mind. I want it searched thoroughly for hidden passages and secret doors. Leave reports in the corner by the ladder.
