It seems that you have taken the opportunity to tack on to one of my posters an interesting rebuttal. Sir, I do not understand why you have chosen to quarrel with me over petty issues. I am close friends with a follower of Tempus, and let me assure you I hold beliefs similar to the ones you have.

Let me first address the hatred you seem to have for Frederick Bresley. First, he is the very definition of a symbol. He is an intangible object that has been developed to motivate people into suceeding in reaching the surface. It quite frankly does not matter if he made it or not. Only the belief that he did.

Now, Bresley does not stand for peace and loving hippie-dom. In fact, if you were intuitive enough you would understand that you could believe and use him to motivate others into going to war with your withholders of freedom, the drow. Perhaps he escaped by defeating a drow throng of over 1000 with one hand behind his back? Does anyone know? No. Let's call his escape a statement then. A lie implies that the truth is known and is withheld from us all.

Now, since we don't know the truth, you choose to funnel your efforts into calling for war against the drow. I understand. Let's start small, however. As of now, as you put it "those with power here like it, and they covet more of it" ... indeed. First, if you convince the masses of the need to bother getting out of Sanctuary, then you have a foundation to work with. As of now, when you have the dedicated organization that almost coincides with your views getting less and less tax money, I doubt anyone will be rushing off to war, much less bothering to find even safer routes with no bloodshed to escape.

Perhaps if you first help me, then I can help you. Instead of attacking my policies, why don't you attempt to aid me? You make interesting points that I haven't considered, especially about the drow surface raids. When we have more people focused back on the needs for both exploration and expansion, then we can get somewhere. As of now, official policy and tax money is squandered on very important defensive measures such as who cast a spell of light without a permit.

If war is the way, then so be it. Let's first have the capability to SCOUT and EXPLORE the drow cities to know that it IS the way. We don't need unnecessary warfare that will cost tons of lives if it is meaningless.

PS - It's splendor and armor. Without the 'u'. Who taught you language!

A few things.

You mentioned some quarrel that I have with you. There is nothing of the sort. I don't know you. I tend to judge a man only after I've met him. Its the rightful way.

Also, I truly don't give a damn who you are friends with. In fact, letting me know you have a friend who follows Tempus, the Cowardly Usurper, really just irritates me. The name of the Cowardly Usurper is not one I am fond of.

Now, let me assure you that you do not hold beleifs smiliar to mine. As much is evident firstly in your public notice, and now again in the letter you wrote me.

I have no hatred for Frederick Bresley. As I've said, I don't judge a man until I meet him. I simply brought attention to the fact the Bresley is exactly what you've admitted: an ideal. An ideal which certain people here speak and respeak of, cowing the citizenry with false hopes and promises.

You mentioned that your organization is ill-funded to find the 'safe routes' to the surface. I'll let you know something, for obviously your lack of 'intuitive' capabilities has left such an obvious answer hidden from you.

There is no 'safe' passage to the surface. Look all you want. Squander all the money you want. Its pointless. Only the drow know the way, and the only way we are going to find out is when we, blades drawn on their necks, standing above them, demand the answers.

You mentioned help. You wanted me to aid you? Aid you in what? If I did, then what could you offer in return?

We don't need a pack of 'scouts' who use cowardly tactics such as ambushes and strikes from behind to break the drow. We need hardened warriors who fight with the fury and valour that is befitting their title as warriors. We need men who don't shy from battle, but instead engage in it with all their might and heart. The Lord of War, the mighty Reaver Garagos, teaches his followers such. And its the Reaver who will bless us with his might when we take up arms against the drow, and break them utterly, with raw power and rage alone.

If you want the surface Azen, don't try and stumble across it. Fight for it.

P.S. I was going to refrain from adding an irritating question on the end of my letter, as you did, but I really am curious. What is 'hippie-dom'?

I only wrote the response to explain that no one quite shares your, well, extremely proactive views on warfare. If you feel it necessary to blindly charge drow cities with no support, then so be it. I will call you the one man army and point you in the right direction to Traensyr. I stated that no one cares about leaving the defensive walls in the city in the first place.

The help I mentioned is with finding newcomers to the city in recruiting them. You seem experienced with warfare to say the least, and perhaps you can instruct them in the ways of combat. If you need hardened warriors, then that is the best way. We can speak more in person if necessary.

I am no one man army, and I would obviously not 'blindly charge' a drow city. I will, however, utterly destory them with an army at my back, in the future. I will then find my way to the surface.

As for your help, the offer is appreciated. Given my success in recruiting new members into the Church of Garagos, though, I'd have to admit the help is unneeded.
