I, Rollo Stoneshield, Faenor of Clan Stoutheart, formerly of Clan Stoneshield, second son of Rorn Stoneshield, blood of Delg Giant-slayer, former resident of the City of Waterdeep, former prisoner of Duergar Slavers and slave of Drow Masters, recently arrived in Sanctuary after my deliverance with the blessing and divine aid of the Revered Mother of all Dwarfkind....
do hereby request formal permission from the good Council of Sanctuary and its governing arm of the magical arts, namely the Spellguard and it's illustrious rulership, administrators, agents and executors....
to be permitted to cast dweomers of divine nature, as guided by the wisdom and teachings of the Mother of Safety, Berronar Truesilver.

Esteemed Spellguard Administrators,
I'm eagerly awaiting news of my application for the lawful use of magics in warded areas of Sanctuary, and am aware that such things take time considering the myriad responsibilites and tasks that you have to attend to in the administration of your organization.
I've heard that there is some conflicting opinion in town whether it is in fact necessary to register at this time. Apparently Council members themselves have spread disparate accounts of what spell casters of both divine and arcane magics are required to do in this instance.
Furthermore, I was wondering what it would take to have our clanhome, Tornbeard Hall warded to enable me to tend to the physical and spiritual needs of my kin.
Some magic-eaters appeared and attacked me with no warning when i attempted to create a restorative wand designed to cancel the harmful affects of the many evil beasts and persons that use such attacks. This leads me to believe that I can not now legally or safely cast a simple blessing on my kin in our own home, until I'm granted a permit to do so and Tornbeard Hall is properly warded against these insidious beasts.

A second letter is delivered at Tornbeard Hall, not long after the first one. As the previous, this letter is written in the same elegant handwriting.
Alturiak the 26th, Year 151, 1373 of Dale Reckoning.
Faenor Rollo Stoneshield,
also, to your request to warding Tornbeard Hall, Thane Runehammer has made a similar request in past times. Unfortunatly, the wards are currently only functional in the confinements of Dunwarren. The Spellguard will explore the possibilty for wards, outside Dunwarren, so we may establish a safe community for your Clanmembers as well.
Blessed be Moradin's children,

Agent de la Rey.

Agent de le Ray,
I'm happy to hear that I'm allowed to spread the blessings granted me by the Revered Mother. Thank you for your prompt response to my application.
Concerning an unrelated topic, mistress Sinalee suggested to me that you may be in possession of one or several maces that have divine blessings. As the Mother of Safety prefers her clergy to avoid excessive bloodshed, the mace is generally the preferred weapon for her and I do try to walk in her footsteps as best I am able.
Is it true that you do, in fact, have such holy relics for sale? And might I be able to purchase one or several that are of interest to me and my work? If so, send me a letter to the same address or hopefully we will meet in town.
