Tasha's and Pro v Evil (Maybe)

It is possible that Tasha's Hideous Laughter is still working automatically against anyone with Protection versus Evil cast on them.

I know I had it up during a very laggy fight with goblins when an Enchanter cast it at Mandarin. He was stunned, but in the combat logs I didn't have any rolls with saves in them.

I was also hit by a goblin assassin with Death Attack. I'm not sure if that has a roll either.

One of those two things though did stun me and cause a very disheartening death with no saving throw rolled. I figure if it was the laughter that's a bug. If it was the Death Attack, I'm honestly not sure if it gives a save or not but I thought I'd report this anyway.

Graphics wise, Mandarin was on his knees with a white light swirling around his head. If that helps figure out what happened at all.

Talking to people in IRC, they seem to be positive the VFX I saw was from Tasha's Laughter.

The Tasha's bug was on the to-fix list ages ago, but I think it got lost in the shuffle. When Arkov notices this he check in about fixing it, if not I will go through and remove the spell from the Goblin Enchanters.

Incidentally assassin death attack certainly does have a saving throw attached to it, it's a flat fortitude save vs. assassin levels + int modifier of the assassin.

Yeah, I discussed this with Oro last night. It sounds like Tasha's, and although I thought that I had fixed it -- I checked and apparently I hadn't. If anybody can direct me to a script (say, on NWVault) that has a fix for it, that would be excellent, because (from my preliminary examination) it appears to be a very complicated problem operating on several levels on NWN (scripting, 2das, engine) dealing with whether Tasha's is flagged as a mind-affecting spell.

Yes, if its a fort save no way it hit Mandarin.

lol-I just noticed the Goblin Assassin AB.

Double whammy!

Alright, I think this is now fixed. It will need to be tested once v613 goes up.
