Several Letters to several at RBI and Jail

Mr. Twist; I heard there was trouble in your establishment involving a Tigereye mercenary. Apparently some damage was done to your property.

I am curious what you estimate the damages at, prior to any conflict between the Tigereyes and the Watch or your own patrons. I'd like to speak to you about this personally.

______________________Seperate Letter to Gerald__________

Gerald,

Commendations on helping the Watch subdue the Tigereye mercenary causing trouble in Mr. Twist's inn. I do have a few questions about the situation that I'd like to speak to you about in person if you have the time to help me.

______________Letter to Sheriff Walters____________________

Sheriff Walters;

Once again, I wish to thank you for your time and hard work. I'm enclosing two seperate notes that I'd be pleased to hear you included in the permenant files of two of your men. A copy of the note for Private Hersus is included that the Private may take one home to show his family.

Concerning Sergeant Durris:

Sergeant Durris it is my unfortunate duty to report is a poor example of a city Watchman. He is rude and interfering. He questions the judgement and even the honesty of the city's Councilors. His behavior is barbaric, consisting of responding to simple requests with beastial snarling and even prodding a Councilor in the back with his sword followed by a refusal to sheathe it even when politely requested to do so in the jail itself.

This deplorable behavior should not be tolerated as it makes the Watch look poor in the eyes of our citizens and many Councilors as well.

Councilor Mandarin U. Dreagle

Concerning Private Hersus

Private Hersus is to be commended on his fine performance and sense of duty. Few Watchmen are courageous enough to gainsay a city Councilor, but Private Hersus stolidly did his duty as he saw fit when dealing with myself and a Tigereye mercenary.

Although the mercenary was coming to me to pay a fine, Private Hersus maintained that she must still be arrested for breaking the terms of her exile from Upper Sanctuary. Although I made it clear that the Tigereye was within her rights to speak to me and pay her fines with me, Private Hersus still arrested her. Such a man is well deserving of honors within the Watch and the city itself. I look forward to watching the career of Private Hersus in the future with a sense of high hopes.

Councilor Mandarin U. Dreagle

As always Sheriff Walters the Blessings of the city to you.

Councilor Mandarin U. Dreagle

______________Letter to Private Zorich___________________

Private Zorich, I'm told you were on duty at the Rock Bottom Inn when one Mercenary for the Tigereyes started some trouble. I'd like to hear your version of the events. It is extremely important to hear all of this, as well as what you stated at the trial or to Councilor Starag about the situation.

Councilor Mandarin U. Dreagle

Sheriff Walters receives the letter at the Watch House. Without correcting the spelling of Sergeant Hersur's name, he has the commendation forwarded to him. He then promptly calls Sergeant Durris into his office, yells at him a bit, and then forwards the complaint to Lieutenant Alders for proper disciplinary action.

A reply is sent to the Town Hall.

Councilor Dreagle,

You should know that I'm on the verge of outright barring the Tigereyes from my property. This is hardly the first time that rowdy lot has caused trouble in here, and it's driving away paying customers. My furniture is not to be smashed up to demonstrate weapons that they are selling! (selling without a permit as far as I saw, I might add)

I've had to pay at least a hundred gold pieces to deal with all the physical damage that was done, but the damage done to the reputation of my establishment by the mercenary's disregard for the posted rules will cost me far more. The reason why I don't allow fighting and why I don't allow breaking things in my inn is that my customers don't want to have to deal with that sort of nonsense when they stay here. Criminals who flaunt the rules, refuse to comply with the guards, and make rowdy scenes in the middle of my establishment scare away honest customers.

I hope you can rein in these mercenaries before I have to bar them outright from entering my tavern. Personally, I'd expect better from men whom I employ.
