Hi there everyone - just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.

My friend Outcrowd told me about this server a while back - while I'm not particularly a big fan of PW's, I have to say after logging a bit today, I'm pretty impressed!

My char got into a confrontation almost immediately with some followers of Cyric - the most excitement I've had with NWN for some time!

Anyways, enough of my blathering - I'm still learning the ropes with this site, but I hope to be on more in the coming days - great place to get my RP Fix. :)

OOC advice about things in the game is usually frowned upon, but I just can't in good conscience let you go out there without knowing the truth: there's a character named Quadra that's a vicious killer of all new people to the server, so watch out! Don't be alone with her, or she'll totally use Harm on you!

And guy's don't hold his being friends with me against him, PC is truly a gifted roleplayer, a kick-ass DM, a top notch educational administrator, and genuinely nice guy. Outcrowd btw is too humble (a rather rare trait in rock stars these days), so let me give you the inside scoop on him.

The dude makes a killer mod, and teaches my noob self to DM it - I then learn how to use the toolset namely by bastardizing said mod.

To make it short, it eventually led to me getting hired by Obsidian Entertainment to work on NWN 2.

So yeah, I take his opinions rather seriously when he says he's found a good PW. :)

Oh ravenloft I use the gui for that! Anyway perhaps you should have kept the whole working for obsidian entertainment under your hat! You'll get all sorts of people asking you this and that about it now!

I worked on the game (NWN 2) for about 4 months, then I took a job in school admininstration (feel so old now).

So no, no clue about Kotor 3 or the likes, being a has-been and all. :)

Well that certinly must have been a change, hope working for bioware wasn't bad..may have to check out your ravenloft mod sometime. One of my first D@D experiences was in ravenloft (I played a palidin who eventually went crazy from to much use of detect evil...the ground the ground is evil *said with soil dripping through his fingers*

Yeah - actually, in Ravenloft though, you don't detect "evil" - instead, paladins detect chaotic alignments.

As you correctly surmised, any paladin in Ravenloft would quickly go insane from the nefarious corruption all about him - so well played there.

However, slap your DM for incorrectly interpreting the rules, leading to the eventual unhinging of your pally! ;)

didn't realize that was my first attempt at D@D years ago. So a lawful evil you woudn't detect interesting. We stepped from a more mundane D@D world to ravenloft so I guess the character wouldn't have realized the shift in his powers..it's a vampire but I'm not detecting evil-leaving to whole different case of madness, but were off topic now..anyway welcome to Efu I play samus a female dwarf rogue (and it just's gets odder from there) so say hello if we are ever on at the same time.
