A letter to the temple of Ibrundul

*written with charcoal to piece of dirty parchment*

Honorable follower of Ibrundul, my name is Jeremiah Dimble and I delivered a small boy, named John, to your care earlier today. I offered a donation to your temple, but it was declined. However, if money or any other kind of help is needed, I will give or do what I can.

Jeremiah Dimble, Rock Bottom Inn

Goodgnome Jeremiah,

Even now little John is among us and prospering. We are raising him to be a priest of our Lord Ibrandul, God of the Deep. With our help, we have helped him overcome his grief after the terrible tragedy of the rats devouring his mother and sister.

We thank you on his behalf for delivering him to us, and would encourage you to think of us when next you find someone in need. If we require your help with anything further, we will be sure to get in touch.

May our Lord be with you in this place of darkness.

Jeremiah receives the letter, hides from the eyes of others and reads it over and over again, trying to remember how it felt like to be safe. He prays to Baravar, asking him to protect John and poor little Jeremiah as well.
