My children - daughter's and sons - long have you used common speaking in a server with not much things to spice up your language but accents, cussings and gerbils.
But I HAVE the CURE!
http://www.thievesguild.cc/cant/cant2english.php
The Thieves' Cant is the Forgotten Realms' slang used by anything with Rogue / Assassin levels in it. The Cant is used to convey not-so-subtle jobs in a crowded place, or just a private one when people just want to make sure no one is listening (and if he does, it'll take him a bit of time to understand, even if he's a rogue - after all, some of the language can be conveyed by using hand gestures).
So, just use it. While EfU doesn't mind much about languages, it would still be interesting to see rogues using this when discussing certain matters. And I'm not telling you to use the whole chat - but some words can easily be remembered and used in regular discussions.
So, enjoy, wether you're going to use it or just snort at the idea.

Both are sweet links.
I'm gonna use the first one IG, and the second IRL, thanks.
Edit: omg. The second one is lol. ... hobos refer to "crabs" as "crotch crickets" ... AHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHA XD

I've known about that link for quite sometime however I've never really had the time to learn it. Just too much of a burden to memorize. Which is why I've never had acharacter who speaks thieves cant I WOULD however like to learn gnomish but sadly I don't think it exists :(

I'm making a printer-friendly version that I'll put up in 30 minutes or so.

Didn't take as long as I thought. I ended up just copying the HTML and junk.
Anyways, you can print out this webpage for a printer friendly version of the already above link.

My character uses Thieves Cant...when I'm not feeling too lazy, that is.

My character has her own linguistic quirks.
Done consistently, it's a fun way to really individualise the character, so long as you're prepared for OOC tells that include the phrase "WTF?"

Let's put it this way: I work every day with Alstromeria's character and its pretty common practice to send a Tell including "WTF" after every IC comment. I think she expects it at this point. :)
Great stuff though.

I'm sure a saw i "Tieflings link" once which included the definition of a "Cutter" and a "Berk".
Granted, probably only a few people on the server would ever have a reason to use it, but it was entertaining, as is the 'thieves cant' here. Much love.

Planespeak, yup.

Unless you are an Aasimar that actually met his father / mother and actually had them from Sigil (notice I just dropped the precent of the possibility of such a character happening to nearly 0%) or a Tiefling of a similar background, or a Tiefling that got his arse booted into the Material Plane somehow, you shouldn't know the language.
It's still pretty neat, though. :)

Actually, I think Aasimars and Tieflings can meet their parents. Half-celestials and half-fiends are less likely.
But I might be wrong.

Aasimar are the most likely to meet their parents - In general, Aasimar are supervised their entire life by some form of guardian, whether their one of their actually parents, a godfather or godmother, or anyone else appointed to check up on these children. They mostly take immediate measures when the Aasimar is portraying signs of evil (note: Aasimar are not born pure of heart, but those who are not pure of heart are generally weeded out by removing them. Aasimar make tough parents). So in this scenario, Aasimar are far more likely to meet their parents, although the parents rather remain unnoticed and on the background.
Tieflings have an even slimer chance of ever meet their parents. But I am getting off-topic, I suppose, since this is something for perhaps another thread.
