Ok those who have met my character my already know this but as part of Samus's backstory is that before she was born her family had their last name stripped from them and was exiled. One of the goals of the character is to retreive her last name (which is why I gave her one that you see when you highlight it). I have some ideas of why her family would have lost their last name but thought I'd ask those with more D&D knowledge for suggestions. Thanks!

Exile, a will to completely detatch himself from the dwarven tradition or simply sheer enjoyment of lacking it. Some dwarves develop nickname to forget the hate they have for their past.

Still calling your female character a him?

Well, deffinately something bad that negatively affected the clan. Stealing from the clan, betraying them, disobeying the clan leaders, abandoning clan members in time of need, etc.
