[a letter has been delivered to the Seekers enclave, adressed to the head of the organization]

Ivlysar Tal'en'qir, head of the Seekers organization

I am Ambrose Crownguard, a Paladin of the Loyal Fury and former captive of the lizardmen slavers. I owe your organization a debt of gratitude, Seeker, as well as my freedom if not my very life. It grieved me greatly to learn that one of your agents, the female who played a key part in the liberation of my fellow captives and I, fell as she withdrew to cover our tracks. Her noble sacrifice was not in vain – inspired by her courage as well as the heroic deeds of your organization, I should like to pledge my sword to your cause. I wish to partake in similar rescue operations, that I might honor her memory by giving other captives their freedom as it was given me.

You should know, however, that I do not currently seek to return to the surface world myself. I believe there is a greater purpose to me being here – that this is where I shall be able to prove myself truly worthy of paladinhood and do the greatest deeds in the service of good. This is where I am needed the most.

Please, do not hesitate to call upon my aid should you need a loyal sword by your side. I am residing at the Rock Bottom Tavern for the time being – leave a letter for me there should there be any matters that I might assist with.

With hope and respect, Ambrose Crownguard

Ambrose,

It is refreshing to hear gratitude from those we grant a boon to, as it is even more refreshing for you to offer a helping hand.

I have a feeling we will see eye to eye on some things, but disagree on others; friend, but I am glad to enlist you as an official friend of the Seekers for the moment and hopefully you will realise that any freedom that can exist down here is at best hollow, as darkness ravages our youth, century after century.

Sweet water and light laughter, 'till next we speak.
