For a level four summon its abit powerful. I mean it deals double the amount of damage as a regular rock lizard. When I got held the other day and was getting chomped by one from a pc cleric it was dealing in between 16-30 damage per hit, regular rock lizards smack you for like 16 on a good hit. I don't think it was buffed as it was summoned right beside me. Just seems a little tough for summon IV. it'd be insane when multiple summons is eventually added aswell.
Stone lizard summon.
It's a summon V.
Animal Domain.
I always thought summon V was Deep Prowler? They switch places?
Also could it be switched for omething that looks more the part. I mean I've ripped those things appart in three seconds.
Maybe even change its name to "Ferocious Stone Lizard" or "Huge Stone Lizard" Just plain summond stone lizards just seems like such an understatement.
Naga I always thought summon V was Deep Prowler? They switch places?Animal Domain makes the level I Summon a level II, the level II a level III, et cetera. Cave Prowler should be a level VI Summon. Also could it be switched for omething that looks more the part. I mean I've ripped those things appart in three seconds.

I'd tend to agree with Naga - it does seem overpowered. I actually tested one against a level 7 Namli, and it rocked his world in a duel. Nerfing the HP or DMG would be a step in the right direction IMHO.
Balancing the summons is something we definitely want to do. I think Thrawn was working on it for a while, but he's really busy at the moment.

Just to bring it to light, I have a feeling that should be watched closely now since the combat ratings are gone. I don't think I've whitnessed too much of a problem, but for example, with the many adjectives given to undead, and not being an unabridged dictionary myself, it's sometimes difficult to know if I should be running or fighting based on a creatues name and description.....if those names and/or descriptions are meant to indicate a noticable aspect of the creature.
the names are OOC, your character should have to be able to recognize the various creatures. So if a skeleton with a big sheild and helmet comes at you vs. one with just a club and no armor, I'd get the idea that the one with he armor is one that's gonna be rough to fight.
But when it comes to Gnolls or something that all look the same (until you see their hands glow and missles flying) You'd have to play dumb IC till your character saw them a few times.
However, metagaming that a Stone Lizard is either named 'Stone Lizard, Young', or a 'Stone Lizard, Gargantuan' would make a little bit of difference. Basically, you don't metagame the name, since the name represents its description.
Djspectre
Its not about the name.
Its about the description. Models in nwn are limited and thus you could stand hrunkor the level 40 50 str barbarian infront of Magic McWizard the level 1 8 str human naked and they'd look exactly the same.
I fiddled with things a bit.
