Basically, if you know of really decent rp'ers who for whatever reason dont visit/post on the forums, drop a name here and give a little blurb on why theyre pretty cool.

We should always been on the lookout for new talent, and give them the opportunity to glom onto the stuff we're doing, and I figure asking us forum junkies to list some will be useful for *all* of us, so we can strike up conversations with the characters in game, or send an OOC tell, and get them involved, and more importantly registered on here.

I am of the opinion that when people participate more on the forums, at least read and occassionally comment, their knowledge of mechanics improve, but more importantly, the quality of their rp will improve.

it will also make it easier to recruit them into our plots. I love the people I'm currently working with, but I would love to have people I don't know into the fold.

I plan on making a list on my in game journal so I can shoot tells, or try to bring people into the fold when I have downtime or a spare moment.

I reckon the concept is great, but it comes back to the same old thing.

Like in RPotW and shit like that, sometimes the people who arent picked out may get the feeling they aren't as good as others, or that the server is home to elitism, or whatever.

If people want to join and participate in the forum here, then they can. The newcomers who 'show promise' or whatever but don't hit up the forum probably have reasons for that. If a newcomer comes along, and you know he/she doesnt know about the forums, then send them a tell IG, and tell them about the forums, and how much info is there.

I think most keen players will find there way to the forums anyway, if only to check the public notices and personal letters.

well the point here is, i just want to know who is out there that i havent found yet, and can get involved in stuff. unlike rpotw i dont want to give out rewards or anything. and if they come on here, good. sure i dont want tons of paragraphs, but basically a gist like

If Playernamex logs in, you might want to ask him. he's in a euro or aussie time zone, but he plays a good cleric of, or barbarian, or rogue, or scaredy cat, or pushy so and so.

Most people who go onto any server will go to the forums soon afte ri fthey like it. MAd caddies is right we don't need another "tell us who you think is awesome" thread.

Dr Breen is bringing up a valid point guys.

I dont know how good you all think I am at rping but I never spent much time on the forums because my internet doesnt have a great connection and whenever id try to use my web browser all of my other internet programs would crash. Because of this I quickly lost interest in even bothering with the forums but that doesnt mena I dont want dms to otice me. I do. Recently ive been trying to use the forums more (which is why I am no longer connected to irc or any messengers as I type this -.-) but so far it has made no difference in one way or the other. I suppose I havent been enough of a poster or maybe I just need to work on my rp.

Either way just because someone doesnt use the forums doesnt mean they dont have a genuine interest in playing on the server or putting hard work into their character and thats the point im trying to make. To some its a hassle, others who knows, but I really appreciate what Breen is trying to do. Keep up the good dm work, that kind of involvment inspires me to play better. :) see you in game.

I just want to find players who may not be in on the whole forum thing, that i dont know about, to get involved with my whole plot. I love our regulars, who really make things go, but i want more. Im greedy like that
