Your kidding. They dont take that seriously? I'd say, as an outsider, that is definetly a sign of the arockalypse....truely the day of rockoning is upon us. I'd like to learn more about this eurovision you speak of. What the hell sort of musical competition has the winner being a few Finnish folk parading around in Gwar knock off cosutmes and also feature Germans as cowboys? Please help me understand. This is far to much to contemplate this early in the morning.

Well Eurovision is a song contest where amateurs ( not like Shakira or Eminem) represent various countries "considered" to be European ( i can't understand how israel but that's not important) and basically they each present a song, like a mini concert thing, in front of quite a lot of people. At the end everyone in europe can vote, and the winner is thus decided ( I gather you know this much)

Basically, eurovision for the last three decades has been ruled by crappy pop or poop as we call it to be more precise. For a long time anything that wasn't pop got little to no points. And it was even a joke that rock bands would ever win it, that's why, where i live, eurovision 2006 has been so interesting compared to the rather bland ones of the past.
