I would like to inspect any artifact of magical nature before I even consider placing a bid on it. It could range from a simple trinket which would fall apart after a single use, to something that would aid me for many years. The current high bid stands at 4,500 gold. The bid of 12,000 was rejected when I eliminated those who made the bid and then foolishly crossed me by seeking to steal the artifact.
