Recently experienced a situation where I hit negatives and had a bard use song. I was in range and got the bonus hp which made me "conscious" but the system would not allow my character to get up, move, or do anything but lay there. Ignoring what did happen overall, I decided to post it just as a heads up. Not sure if this a similar problem as the wildshape regen from negative to positive which I believe is unfixable but thought a look into might be worth the effort.
