Citizens of Sanctuary. These past weeks have been long dark days for you. Lower has been overrun by Chosen. New Dunwarren has been ravaged by disease and destruction. Enthrallments abound. Brother has taken up arms against brother. Your protector, The Great Shadow Death has been taken from you. The residential district has been ravaged and lies eerily quiet. And now the Chosen and the Appetite threaten to take over all of Sanctuary. You, citizens of fair Sanctuary, have endured much pain and suffering. You have been told many reasons as to why these events are happening. With each flyer that has come out, fingers have been pointed laying the blame on another. I say to you that it matters little the individual people or groups that have claimed to have done these things. There is but one Mistress of pain and torment: Loviatar, the Maiden of Pain. Long has She been denied proper homage within this city, and for this you continue to pay the price. She has granted pain after pain, suffering after suffering ... yet you continue to ignore Her. She seeks to teach you, show you. Yet you do not learn. It is with great peril that you continue to do such. Great are Her blessings. Wondrous is Her mercy. But each must be earned for only the worthy receive them. Fear Her yet Long for Her. I say to you citizens of Sanctuary, repent now for your insolence and She will grant you the strength to continue. Overcome your cowardice and come forth. Do not shy away from Her and Her teachings. Embrace Her and all that She will bring you ---and in these days--- know that She will bring you much.
