My time to spend on EFU is diminishing as the school year starts, so I won't really have any time to spearhead any of my usual shenanigans. As a result of this, I'm looking for a creatively done, proactive PC to follow around and help out as he advances his plans.
Does your villain need a loyal butler?
Will your Councilor flourish with a cunning aide?
As long as you're working proactively towards something, I may be interested in joining up with you!
PMs are generally preferred.

It would be nice if this wasnt pre-arranged OOC'ly and the relationship between minion and boss be developed In-game. :(

Hm... So do the DMs frown upon OOC collaboration regarding starting characters? If so, might want to put a nix on prelude quests, since it seems to be the same thing as Scalebane is talking about here, just on a much larger scale. (And phat lootz.)
Also, I'm sure Scalebane didn't mean this as a way to short-cut out of the RP between boss and minion... think there are two seperate concerns here. :)

You probably do know the difference between a flavorful group concept and an unhealthy OOC-clique 'World Domination' ganging up.
Just putting a reminder.

Though some DM's may feel it is ideal to do this in game, I'll just chime in to remind everyone that it is perfectly fine to arrange such things OOC'ly.
Personal preferences just differ on the subject between DM to DM.
I've found it is far more rewarding to do this in game too, rather than prior to creation in order to maximize effectiveness against any opposition too. Afterall, where's the challenge and excitement when the deck is stacked in your favor before you even begin the concept?

All I want to do is find a cool concept to get me interested in EFU again! I don't think I really have a reputation for cliquish behavior or a preference for shallow, prefabricated utility over genuine creativity, although I'm sure DangerousDan is likely to disagree.

If going in with a partner makes the game more fun, by all means do it. I don't think it leads to cliquish behavior necessarily and can help players a lot in getting started, sticking with something, and not just being lonely when they log in.
