Mayor Bresley [DM]

Mayor Bresley,

I realize you are busy, which is why I have not come to congratulate you in person for your assuming the role as mayor. As you may remember, I strongly encouraged you to do so when you were welcomed back into the city. If there is one good thing that has come out of recent events, it is the fresh start it will give our city, a clean break from the past that has haunted us for generations.

All of that being said, I have an important request to make. You may or may not be familiar with Illario Dentra, a former Councilor of the city as well as a member of the Watch under the regime. He has left the Spellguard Tower, finally forsaking them for good. He wishes to do all that he can to help Sanctuary.

I know Illario. He is a good man, though he fell into the wrong crowd. He believes in Sanctuary. He believes in its people. He wants what he believes is best for the city. He was a staunch ally of the Spellguard, though like many who served under them, even their own Agents, much of the horrors they committed were shielded from him, hidden and unknown.

Illario believes strongly in the rule of law. He believes strongly in order. A belief that I also share; it is the belief that the rule of law aids true peace and fosters true freedom.

Illario is far from a perfect man. He's made his share of mistakes - as have I - as we all have. Despite this I do not believe he is fundamentally a bad man, even if at times he is stubborn and misguided.

He is a strong warrior, a dedicated and loyal soldier, and this is something we currently desperately need.

I ask that you grant him pardon for his work in service to the Regime, and allow him to re-pledge himself to the city and to the new government so that he may assist us in the battles to come. If you feel that you cannot do such, then I ask that you stand trial over him and show mercy and leniency for his actions.

We need every warrior that we can get, and as I said, Illario is a man who believes in Sanctuary and its people. Even as we were on opposite sides, never once did I doubt this about him. If you wish for him to stand trial, I will inform him and try to arrange that such can take place. However, I do ask that you keep in mind all that I have said.

Kedrick Reynolds Commander of the Sovereign Host

[Resent.]

Mister Dentra is free to renounce the actions of the former regime, and pledge his loyalty to the City.

He is unlikely to hold any sort of position of power again.
