A fascinating article. I've read of these people before. A really interesting look into another culture. I thought of EfU because I dont think it would be far off to have a similar aspect in it. When it comes to slaves becoming free and dealing with the idae of commerce.

Neat article, its interesting to see Chomsky's ideas be challenged in such a way. Personally I would find these 300 people to simply be the "exception that makes the rule" but naturally that seems a little too simplistic and easy to do in reality. I move that in EFU we remove the present tense and number conceptualization as well!

Something I thought would be interesting. Back when EfU was in alpha. If you were a slave all your life. With the new found freedom in Sanctuary, things like the exchange of goods for gold or services would be totally foreign. Most things would be, but I think that would be one of the harder concepts to grasp, next to government. There was one character I saw dabble with this early on, but I do not know what became of him.

I tried playing a character like that..... it didn't work out to be as fun as I had hoped it would be.
