DEX 18 anyone?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqzyYFpHt6M&search=trick

Imagine what our fantasy guys with high dex are able to do then :)

Pretty awesome.

Breakdancers are no doubt some of the most amazing people in the world. The sheer amounts of upper and lower body strength to be able to do things like that is incredible. Having complete control of your own body - that's what it's all about.

New character concept!

A breakdancer elven monk

I seriously susupect some editing in some of those sequences.

unfortunately there was no editing in those. There is an art form called parkay that deals with scaling buildings and other urban structures using only sheer agility and reflexes. We've seen that Nike or Reebok commercial where that guy scales an apartment building just by bouncing between the balconies of it, well that's the same as the stuff in this video.

There are a lot of people in this world that can do that sort of stuff like gymnasts, martial artists and even fit athletes ( I personally could do backflips from a standing position as well as flip up onto my feet from laying flat on the ground) can do this stuff.

They are very talented and would make very good stuntmen in Hollywood if they wanted.

Thats so awsome I wish I could do that stuff

If theres no editing, then those guys are awesome.

I can backflip, but I need at least a little bit of a slope in the ground

Parkay, never heard that. The term I've heard is called free running - literally running anywhere, over anything, up whatever wall, passing whatever barrier. I think we're thinking of the same thing, though these guys all tend to focus on only gymnastics, martial arts, or breakdancing. None of them are free running, though I don't doubt they could. Nor do I doubt they could kick my ass. Especially in a dance-off!

Really neat stuff.

Its Parkour, AKA free running. More or less invented by David Belle (inspired by his father), and furthered with his friend Sebastian Foucan.

Here's a wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkour

But yes, the above link is mostly breakdancing. As far as break dancing goes, this is the go to guy in my opinion. David Elsewhere.

http://www.detoursvideo.com/Elsewhere.htm Wacth the video titled Kollaboration 2001.wmv (Elsewhere is the guy in the red shirt at the end)

My friend in a previous life was a monkey. He can climb coconut trees, backflip, frontflip, I've even seen him wall walk. Plus he's a martial arts freak

Yes you are right, it's called Parkour. Thank you for the correction. I knew it was something close.

I know what I am doing with my free time now

I am at a lost for words

Whooo Hooo

Axesome

That was INCREDIBLE... way cooler then those pansies who jump off concecrete slabs repetadly.

*WOW*

That was... damn impressive.

Why don't we cancel all the pansy olympic sports like ice skating and synchronized sodomy and replace them with that video?

Kotenku Pretty awesome.

Pansies. Nobody beats overall body conditioning of ballet dancers - but capoeira maestres come close to matching them, and can do some pretty bizarre things.

AFAIK, breakdancing owes a lot of its roots to capoeira. And unlike breakdancing, you can actually smack someone around with what you learn in capoeira... more so if you learn the "non-traditional" variations taught in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro.

But can you seriously say that ballet looks better than that?

Anthee But can you seriously say that ballet looks better than that?

You've never dated a ballet dancer, have you?

I know, I suck.

I couldn't resist.

Voltron Got Served.

Some of those clips are of caparera fighting(Eddie Gordo from Tekken series).
