Letter to the Sanctuary (Rebel) Watch

Watchmen,

Let it be known that Pyotr Ignatiev has threatened the Sovereign Host and has likely slain one of our members. He has sent to us threats, which shall be provided to you as evidence of his crimes.

We have placed out a bounty which we intend to see collected. If you capture him, we will do whatever is necessary to assist you in putting him on trial for his crimes. He is a member of the Regime.

As we have publicly proclaimed, any threat against the Host, impeding our work to defeat the Chosen or slaying of our members will result in death. We fully intend to carry it out.

We will see Pyotr Ignatiev executed for his crimes. I shall include the necessary evidence to see that this happens.

We have also sent a warning to the Spellguard giving them forty-eight hours to hand him over. If they fail to do this the Host will be willing to assist you in whatever you need to see them utterly and mercilessly crushed. This would include, but not be limited to, a direct assault upon the Spellguard Tower.

I can provide you with a great deal of information about Mister Ignatiev, though I have assisted the Watch in the past with such information. It may still be in the record files, most likely under things dealing with Prince Montezzi, assuming that the Regime did not destroy such information.

Signed, Kedrick Reynolds Commander of the Sovereign Host

Mr. Reynolds,

I am very disturbed to hear of your choice to join the forces of disorder, chaos and rebellion. I am even more disappointed to read what you truly think Simms is. I once took you for a smart, able opponent back in the days when you resisted my Prince's rule with your last admittedly well-recruited group of halfwits.

Both out of my respect for the cunning you have displayed in the days of yore -which I admire above all things- and out of the pain it causes me to slay Sanctuary citizens when outside dangers -such as the Chosen, for instance- threaten the entire city, loyalist and rebel alike, I shall give you a chance to turn away from the path you have recently chosen to walk.

You and your men are to cease aiding the seditious forces. If you do not, I will come down upon you without mercy. I know every person who works for you; I have watched you for hours on end for days now, and will continue to do so. Your weakest members will be set upon from the shadows at unwares and you and your lieutenants will be caught in a trap more cunning than your infantile mind could ever understand.

I am very sincere about this. Please leave word with an answer, you've two days.

Cordially,

Pyotr Ignatiev

*an envelope arrives at the Shifting Caverns, Ebon Greyhawk's bloody citizen stone being found within, alongside this letter*

Mr. Reynolds,

The bravado of a man and his quill is an endearing thing, yet nevertheless just that. Keep in mind men and groups of a stature which dwarfs yours have wanted me dead for a long time, yet here I am.

Cordially,

Pyotr Ignatiev

Once again, Mister Reynolds, you are too hesitant. Fourty-eight hours is too long. Why the hold-up?

-- Sgt. Keel

Sgt. Keel,

If they have not handed him over by the time you begin to make an assault, inform me and I will have my men join yours. I will not tolerate any attacks against the Host, and will see whomever harbors Pyotr Ignatiev mercilessly slain in the most public and horrific manor that I can reasonably perform.

My tolerance and patience is non-existent for such things. I have already informed Barkley that if he does not hand him over, I will personally see to his death.

Though I am ever mindful of the Dunwarren Defenses the Spellguard still has under their control, as well as their Ysinode allies, there may be ways to work around this. I will meet you at the Watch House this eve to discuss them in person. Forty-eight hours is the most reasonable time frame that is required to ensure that the defenses can properly be deactivated for an assault.

Having personally seen some of the defenses the Spellguard Tower possesses, I can attest to their level of deadliness. We will speak more about these things in person, and I will give to you all the information that I know.

Commander Kedrick Reynolds
