Public Declaration: The Fate of Coronado & Nihilus Publication Date: Mirtul 14th, Year 153

Let the fate of the Regime Watchmen Coronado & Nihilus be a warning to all who lift blades against the Sovereign Host.

Late yesterday, a member of the Sovereign Host was within Upper Sanctuary. There the Host member was attempting to make some purchases, which is not a crime even under the Regime's law.

It was during this that Regime Watchmen Coronado (a human) and Regime Watchmen Nihilus (a halfling) pulled him aside. They asked for him to come to the Watch House, to which he complied without complaint.

Now, let it be made clear. The Regime has publicly and privately pledged to respect the neutrality of the Sovereign Host and have agreed to our terms. The Sovereign Host has publicly stated the punishment for harassment and assault on a member of the Host would be immediate and swift execution. However, let it be known that these two watchmen were not acting in a harassing manor as they led the member of the Host from the crowd.

Inside the Watch House things were routine enough. There the member of the Host was questioned on a few basic things. However, when he was questioned on if he was a member of the rebels, he said no - as he is not. He is a member of the Sovereign Host and he stated it clearly for them to know.

Yet, this did not satisfy these two Watchmen as the member of the Host also stated his mind on the war - which he was asked of - and to which he replied that it was fruitless and it only weakens the city. A point that has been made by the Regime publicly.

Yet, upon making that point they attempted to accuse him of being a rebel and were going to arrest him. It has been made clear that a problem with a member of the Sovereign Host is to be reported to Commander Kedrick Reynolds. A point that was agreed to by the Regime.

Obviously, seeing the direness of the situation the member of the Host fled the Watch House and the city. Both of the Watchmen, and a small crowd, followed him into the Underdark as he attempted to make his way to Commander Kedrick Reynolds. It was, however, in the Gate Road that the Watchmen drew their blades and onlookers watched as the Host Member was forced to - in self-defense - to do battle.

There in the Gate Road, these two Watchmen were defeated by the lone warrior of the Sovereign Host. Yet, despite direct orders given out - and made public for all to see - that to assault a member of the Host is considered treason and endangerment of Sanctuary, and therefore means death, the member of the Host attempted to show mercy.

Unfortunately for them, the crowd, which had been up until that point placid, decided otherwise. A pet hunting spider came forth and killed one, and a member of the crowd cut the throat of the other. After which, the crowd descended upon the Regime Watchmen's things like rabid jackals to grab what they could including their bodies.

The Host member left the scene and reported immediately to Commander Kedrick Reynolds, and it is now that I, Commander Kedrick Reynolds, relay this information to you.

It seems that we were unclear about our intentions: We are battling against the -TRUE- threats of Sanctuary. Any attempts to impede our work or harm our members will result in death.

There will be no, "I'm sorries." No, "I changed my mind." No, pleading for your life. No, promise to serve us loyalty or even give us information. Your life will be ended. Without words. Without mercy.

To attack a member of the Sovereign Host -is- to INVITE DEATH! Not only to yourself, but should your work prevent us from doing our job, then it shall lead to the death of -ALL- within Sanctuary, regime and rebel alike.

Now, the Sovereign Host turns to the Regime and asks them publicly: Do you now defy our neutrality agreement? Do you now break your word? Let the truth be known.

Because, I swear in the name of Helm, that if you stand in our way I will make public the truth of all that has transpired. The Sovereign Host knows the truth and if you value your continued presence in our society then you will not stand in our way of saving it.

This is a warning, not only to you but to all others. The Sovereign Host works diligently to save Sanctuary while you foolishly continue to rip it apart. It will not be tolerated nor forgiven.

Now, the Regime has the chance to reaffirm its stance on our neutrality or face the consequences of their betrayal. You have twenty-four hours.

Should these postings be removed, we will take that as your answer. Should another attack happen, we will take that as your answer. Anything short of reaffirming our neutrality by you will be considered a declaration of war against the Sovereign Host. Your time for a response begins now. Think carefully.
