Finding myself torn between what class and concept to start out with (I actually have three applications ready to send in now), a poll like this might help me make a decision. I was suprised to see there hasn't already been one.

(Seeing as there is a limit to how many options I can include, I had to narrow it down a bit)

Ur...I've rarely ever played a character that is described by something as silly as a "class". My character shovels things. Mostly shit.

Always oh-so many wizards.

I'm just going to have to make intellect devourers more commonplace...

I must say that I'm slightly surprised at the lack of clerics, though...

I'm going to be everything! EVERYTHING! (Okay, that might be an exaggeration, but the poll doesn't leave much room for multiclassing.)

Just pick the main starting class of your character then.

My concept for my first character is a ranger, so I'm picking 'warrior' class. Though I don't really see her as being a 'warrior' type. :P

I'm planning on starting with a fighter, for about the first time ever. So I fully expect her to be a fighter that dies a lot :)

I'm hoping to try a bedine character. As class he would fit in "warrior" category. Still working on the concept.

(Most my characters tend to be either stealthish or religious characters, such as clerics, paladins, rangers and rogues)

I didn't see a "mindflayer" class, so I chose bard instead. Was this an oversight?

Gotta love them good ole rangers. Just let me get my "hick" accent down fer it. Don't know quite why they were limited exclusively to the grouping of "warriors".

Well, after 3 rogues in a row (Arundel Pavahir, Gregarin and Francois Babineau) I'm tempted to try something different. I still ponder what to choose.

I was planning on playing a pure dwarven ranger, but I might conisder playing my cleric seeing the lack of interest. I had two characters (one ranger, one cleric) drawn up for the opening, so we'll see what happens.

Of 37 voters, only one have chosen to play a cleric (or druid)... that's troubling. I would guess the fact that most factions are heavily geared towards warriors, mages and rogues might be a reason for this, but still.. seeing as clerics will be even more powerful here than they ever were in CoA (an abundance of outsiders to turn), it's puzzling.

I will be playing a character that is interested in cartography. His studies of the caverns are the reason why he eventually gets captured. His name will be Maximilian Kahnahzar, he will worship Deneir.

Bear, most of the dms here have all killed my halflings at some point, howland having the first place of "killing olouths halflings" competition.

Oh, and that character was actually gonna be a halfer, but now you ruined it, so i will have to find another class. Damn you bear!
