A little update for all the peoples:

Server is still down. After some initial information gathering, this appears to be some kind of operating system issue I am still trying to resolve. All data and backups are intact, so there's no need to worry about data loss or the always dreaded wipe. No ETA, but hopefully we'll back within the next 24 hours.

The server is back up.

What for a long time looked to be just a software issue suddenly (and I mean suddenly, like right before my eyes), transformed into a hard drive failure. This machine has always had a backup hard drive installed just waiting to be used again, so now we're back up and running on the spare.

The backups that I restored were from 4:00am EST the day the server went down, so there will be about 12 hours of progress lost if you were playing during that time. If you have any questions about it, feel free to contact any of us about it.
