Kendrick Reynolds [sealed letter at Mur]

Commander Reynolds I believe logic can be used to attempt a ceasefire with regards to the rebellion. As a ceasefire would benefit all concerned.

I know most members of the Spellguard are intelligent enough to realize they cannot survive long if they were to eliminate all the real Watch members, and the spellguard associates, (even while wearing Watch uniforms), are inadequate to defend them against both the rebels and the Chosen. Together we could annihilate the Chosen and then they can resume their hunt for rebels without cause for concern about the Chosen.

The rebels should be informed that they too would benefit from a ceasefire if only long enough to eliminate the Chosen. The fact that chaos flows in the wake of rebellion is documented historical fact that cannot be debated. Even if they were to win this rebellion, the period after the usurpation and the planting of a new government leaves a time of anarchy until the roots of that new government are seated. This is the time when a smart enemy will take advantage of said rebellion. While the military is recovering from the casualties and the people are still uncertain of political affirmations. It is even a tactic used by some armies via propaganda to cause a rebellion...

You don’t think this rebellion could be such planted propaganda to cause infighting amongst the populace, do you? Could the Appetite be behind this rebellion, using the people against each other to bide for time while his Chosen fight the animatrons? It would be a very strategic move by them if it were.

If we could recruit even a couple Spellguard and or rebels to help with our fight against the Chosen our victory would be assured. For both of these groups are powerful in and by themselves, let-alone joined together into a single force.

Perhaps you should give this some thought, Councilor Peace

Councilor Peace,

You are wise to see such a thing, and I have already had similar thoughts. There is little proof one way or another, only circumstantial evidence that the Appetite is behind the civil war. This closely mirrors what has happened in the past, and what led to the defeat of the Deep Gnomes that once called Dunwarren - now Sanctuary - home.

I am reaching out to every single faction within the city, though purposefully withholding reaching out to either the rebels or the regime until we have gathered more allies. This is necessary as the more support we have, the more leverage we will be able to use to our advantage.

In the meantime, I deal with each of their members on an individual basis.

We can talk more about these matters in person.

Respectfully Signed, Kedrick Reynolds Commander of the Sovereign Host

Commander Reynolds, In regards to your ‘reach-out’ attempts; Considering the numbers of factions and individuals I can think of, I realize this could be overwhelming, I will gladly be a liaison for you to any factions that would not take offence to a Helmite I their midst.

Simply give me the order and your wishes on the topic and I will make personal contact with them. As far as I know I am not a wanted person by anybody or any factions so I can travel freely most anyplace. Shieldmaiden Peace

Councilor Peace,

I can handle such things myself, and your skills are better put to use in other ways. I need you to begin leading assaults against the Chosen.

Base your self out of the Canal Ward, aligning with the Shadow Tribe there as a location to fall back upon. From the Canal Ward you should be able to travel to and from Fort Mur using the boat.

Capture some of the Chosen, question them using whatever means you deem necessary, then execute them. Learn everything that you can - no question is too mundane not to ask.

Additionally, the Chosen are in possession of keys that we require. Any key found upon the corpse of a Chosen must be brought to me immediately.

Do not allow yourself to be pulled into this civil war. Do whatever you can to avoid this. As you battle the Chosen, seek out likeminded allies of the Host, and get them to pledge their loyalty. If you find others, inform me of their names.

Finally, you should be made aware of the new laws created by the regime. Avoid making -any- business dealings within the Upper Ward or within sight of a member of the regime. These archaic laws are beyond the pale, and will only serve to ensnare you for one reason or another. Do your best to avoid the Upper Ward if all possible.

Seek out any merchants who agree that the laws are too harsh, and see if they will pledge their loyalty to the Host. Get them to join me in Fort Mur. It is outside the boundaries of control of the regime, and those who wish to do business should be safe here.

If all goes well the Host and all who pledge to it will soon have the protection of Etorix and the Shadow Tribe. We will then be able to base ourselves out of the Canal Ward.

I hope to join you within the city soon.

Respectfully Signed, Kedrick Reynolds Commander of the Sovereign Host
