The Sovereign Host would like to pledge its dedication to seeing a strengthened and restored alliance between the city and the Shadow Tribe. We acknowledge the Great and Illustrious Shadow Death, in all of his wondrous and terrifying glory, and greatly regret all of the actions taken against him and the Shadow Tribe. We hold both in our highest esteem and feel that, on behalf of the city, we owe you both an apology and unending amounts of gratitude for all that you have given us in the past.

As you may be aware the Sovereign Host is a neutral group in the current ongoing civil war. We are requesting the aid and protection of the Shadow Tribe, as well as lodging at the Shadow Tribe Embassy, so that we may work to bring peace and stability to the city.

As well you may also be aware that we are focused on battling the true threat to our city, the rat-beasts known as the Chosen. It is certain, in our view, that it is only a matter of time before they begin to overrun our weakened city. The Host acknowledges and understands the important role the Shadow Tribe will have in restoring our city after the conflict ends.

Toward this, we are requesting the above, and in exchange for this aid we will work to ensure that the Shadow Tribe's demands are met once peace has been restored. In addition, we will work to ensure that the bonds between Sanctuary and the Shadow Tribe are strengthened in the future, and that any future assaults upon the Shadow Tribe, the Great Shadow Death (as foolish as that may be), and their property will be met with harsh unbending justice.

Praise be to Etorix, the Great and Wondrous Shadow Death, may he protect Sanctuary forever!

The Shadow Tribe is always grateful to those who show Etorix the respect he so deserves. You may count on our soldiers to resist the Chosen, something they already do, and you are free to move through our lands. Our Temple is not a place where we wish to lodge soldiers, and our Embassy does not have the space to become a barracks even if we were inclined, which we're not.

I am pleased to know that you're doing well after the dissolving of the Council. However, I believe I did not make myself clear, and for this, I apologize.

The Host does not wish to lodge its soldiers within the Shadow Tribe Embassy, but rather have our own representative act out of it - as a neutral ground - to avoid assaults from either side. We wish to aid you, the Shadow Tribe, and the Great Illustrious Etorix in whatever way possible. You may consider us your greatest allies among all of the residents in the city.

As you well know the Chosen are a threat to us all, and this war only distracts us from the true threat. It is my belief that only the Wondrous Etorix can truly save the city, but a lowly man such as myself will do all that he can as well.

I reach out to you, and welcome you to pledge to our cause. We are neutral in this war, and as it is the stated claims of the Great Etorix to see Sanctuary become prosperous and strong, it is something that I happily and readily accept. I would welcome you to pledge yourself to the Host, as there is no conflict of interest in our goals, and in so doing, I'd see fit to grant you the rank of Councilor. As the voice of the Great Shadow Death, the wisdom you provide from him will enable me to act in a way that is pleasing to him and his goals.

The Host pledges itself to those goals, acknowledges the greatness of All-Mighty Etorix, and is willing to do whatever it can to make right the wrongs committed against him in the past once order is restored to the city. We ask for his divine protection, so that we may do all that we can to stop the Chosen and not be drawn into the civil war.

We will meet in person to discuss matters, if you wish it. The Host acknowledges your place of greatness as the voice of Etorix the Mighty, the All-Powerful and Ever-Victorious.

You use a great deal of words to convey relatively simple ideas. I will consult with my Master about this, and then we shall meet in person. I'd be interested to know what a position of 'Councilor' is precisely, too.

Ambassador Ignatiev,

I simply wish for my words to be as clear as possible. If the Great Shadow Death wills it, on behalf of the Sovereign Host, I am willing to pledge loyalty to him on the simple terms that he has openly stated.

To answer your question, the position of Councilor is an advisory position and a seat of power within the Host. Should you choose to accept it, you would advise me on my actions, and as well have the authority to help run the organization. The Council also has the power to remove the Commander from his seat of power should he prove incapable or abuse it senselessly.

Should you accept your position on this Council you will take on these roles, in addition to advising me on the way to best please the Great Shadow Death. With your aid the Host will work to ensure that this city does not anger our Greatest Protector again.

I am sure you've read the public proclamations, so I shall for now end this letter to you. We will speak more in person, I will seek you out, or if you wish to find me I am currently taking up residence in Fort Mur.
