Letter to the Sovereign Host, Last Stand

Newly established organization Sovereign Host and its members, The Last Stand Inn, 7th of Mirtul, Year 153

Your will to remain neutral in this conflict Sanctuary faces is understandable, even if we would like you to work for the stability and order the Watch and the Spellguard currently maintains in the streets. The threat of the Chosen is a matter that I fully believe we all should pay our attention to, so if this is indeed what you will strive to protect our citizens from, I would like to meet with a representative of your organization to talk in depth of this topic. A reply is best left here.

Agent Cain, Order of the Spellguard

Agent Cain,

I am glad that the Order of the Spellguard views the Chosen as the greatest threat currently facing our city. While it is understandable that the civil war occupies many minds, we cannot be allowed to turn our backs on a threat that faces each side equally. I am sure everyone knows that the Chosen will not distinguish rebel from regime when the time comes for them to make their move. As well, I don't think anyone believes that the Chosen will stop with Lower Sanctuary.

Currently, the Host is basing itself out of Fort Mur, and while the location is completely undesirable, it was the only non-hostile neutral location with stable security that we could establish ourselves in such short notice. You may meet me there and we will discuss matters in detail.

It is our hope that soon we will have properly secured ourselves as a neutral party within the city and will not have to worry about harassment from either side. However, we do warn that anyone who assaults our members will face strict retribution in kind. Our focus is upon ending the Chosen threat, and we will consider any interference as an act of treason against the city.

We are actively encouraging people from both sides to put down their weapons, at least long enough to deal with this threat. It is the only sane and reasonable thing to do.

We have more information that we will release to the public in time. It is our hope that this information will awaken both sides to the true nature of the threat we face.

Again, you may locate me at Fort Mur for the time being. With luck we will be back within the city in a few days time.
