Sometime on Thursday, November 3rd we're going to start our Preludes and generally begin the alpha stage of testing.

Preludes are essentially DM quests that establish how characters enter Sanctuary. See our Preludes forum for more information. Preludes will continue throughout the server's career: if you're interested in a prelude, you can sign up for one in the preludes forum or even organize your own. Simply get a group of others, figure out a time, and let the DM team know when you'd like one. We'll do our best to accomodate as many as we can.

Alpha testing means that the server will be up intermittently but in a passworded state. Although we do plan on having the characters created during this time to persist through until we go Live, we are predominantly in a testing stage.

You should not participate if you're looking for the full EfU Experience: our quest system remains buggy and incomplete, so the 20+ scripted action quests we've built simply can't be repeated or done without a DM to make it work. We're working on finishing it as soon as possible.

There will likely be other issues and other areas of incompleteness, identifying and fixing those issues is top priority.

Additionally, we ask that players do not yet advertise on our behalf. I understand that you might have a friend you'd like to alert to the server, but we're far from ready for public consumption. If there's an individual who you think will be responsible and patient with us, that's fine, but otherwise we're not ready to open our doors to the public.

The password for this stage of testing (when the server is up) will be "escape."
