A Poem Hung Outside The Last Stand

Scribbles are added beneath the signature.

A sheet of parchment hangs outside the Crone. Drawn onto it is a white rose. Several petals are missing from the rose, and the remaining ones are marked with dark spots. In the poctire, a dark, hooded figure stands by the rose, staring directly at it. Several tear drops fall from the hooded figures eyes onto the white rose.

I glance upon a rose, pale and white, Cries silent, still I see its plight,

A rain of falling petals, tears and tears, Misery remaining hidden through the years.

I glance upon a rose, pale and white, With a soul broken and dark as the night.

White, the color of the dying and the dead, Accepting destiny, the rose feels nothing but dread.

I glance upon a rose, pale and white, And bit by bit, it falls further in the embrace of the blight

The Dirgesinger

This rose, it is Sanctuary.
