A Rebuttal to Terrorism

The very definition of terrorism is "the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion.”. To wit, the taking of hostages, making demands, and destruction of public property. Is this not what Lieutenant Reynolds and his merry band of demolitionists have actually done. They have done nothing to defend sanctuary, above or below; they have only caused great loss of property and threatened the lives of our fragile cities only proven protectors, the noble Spellguard Agents and the loyal remaining Watchmen who patrol out streets.

Lieutenant Reynolds says he comes speaking the truth, but all we heard were preposterous stories, with not a shred of evidence to back them up. These are the ramblings of either one suffering from paranoid delusions, or worse, under the direct control of a far darker power, an illithid.

The Spellguard, through a stable and prosperous alliance with the Great Shadow Death, the illustrious serpent , Etorix, and his capable fighting force, have held the chosen at bay. Our valiant Watch has kept the peace in the streets, and the two law enforcement organizations were able to root out the rampant entrhalledom that infected it’s ranks. These are your true heroes, your patriots. It is they that watch the night. And they shall continue unabated by terrorist threat or the hit and run tactics more reminiscent of goblins then the highly trained men and women of the Watch.

With these insights in mind, it is with a proud heart and clear mind that House Greyhawk and the Merchants Association therein asks you stand fast, support the brave men and women of the Spellguard, and the Watch, and to assist our newly elected council in ushering a new, golden era of prosperity, for like the phoenix, Sanctuary will rise from the ashes of these dark days to blaze as a brilliant flame of freedom in the vast blackness of the underdark.
